Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE (CRM)
Implementation process

Phase 1 |  Initial workshop

Every company brings its own unique character and special way of working to us. awisto attaches great importance to getting to know both you and your company. In our introductory workshops you are the focus of attention and we will examine your processes together. Ideally, you already include all relevant stakeholders in this workshop. These are usually the management or the sponsor, the relevant IT, one or better several later key users and of course the Dynamics 365 CE project manager.

The primary goal of this first workshop is to create mutual trust and understanding. On our part an understanding for your company culture and business processes and on your part trust in the experience and competence of awisto and in understanding for the software Dynamics 365 CRM. This is the basis for a successful project. Two of our consultants will come to your company for the workshop. In a dialogue we will take up your processes, ask questions regarding procedures, processes, intentions and goals. Within the next few days we show you the basic functions of Dynamics 365 CRM and possible ways to digitalize with awisto.

If required, we will also gladly offer you a proof of concept first. For an individual offer according to your requirements please contact our sales department. Thanks to the Dynamics 365 solution management the PoC can be reused as a basis for the actual Dynamics 365 implementation.

Phase 2 | Requirement analysis and specification

A detailed requirements analysis is the most important prerequisite for a successful introduction of Dynamics 365 and digitalization of your company. When capturing your requirements, two things happen: They reflect in detail and as fully as possible the current processes in your company. We map the data, information flows and interest groups. In this phase, potential for improvement and non-value-adding processes are often discovered.

Because one thing is clear to us: During the consulting process, the focus is on maximizing the value creation in your company!

The necessity and the desire for interfaces to ERP-systems, a BI or telephone connection and much more are also discussed in this phase and possible solutions are presented. Subsequently, we create a comprehensive specification sheet. This requirement specification serves as a guideline and basis for an order and the first development cycle. Components are the current status quo of the relevant processes in your company, your requirements for the future solution and our proposed solutions.

Phase 3 | Development and quality management

In step three, the development is started. Now we implement what was agreed in the specifications. At the beginning of this project phase, we start by setting up a test instance and an initial data import. This is usually a good time to check the data quality and search for duplicates.

Due to the extensive customizing possibilities we design the UX design and the UI of the user interface according to your company. For larger projects such as interface construction or the development of a mobile app, separate sub-projects are formed. During this project phase, status meetings are usually held weekly to evaluate the progress of the project. Questions and customer requests are of course considered by awisto at any time.

At awisto we work in an agile development method (Scrum). This means that the development is driven forward in fixed sprint cycles. For each sprint we define necessary tasks, plan the effort and create room for further wishes. A sprint is planned in a way that the workload can be managed within 2-3 weeks. The defined tasks are managed by us in Azure DevOps. On request, customers can be given guest access to our DevOps and can actively participate in the fulfilment, tracking and specification of the tasks.

Phase 4 | Go-Live and further sprint planning

All delivered customizations are accepted and the system goes live. Now it is time for us to train the users. Please take a look at our training courses.

As the brand Dynamics 365 already reveals, the system is very dynamic and lives on the constant development and improvement. As your reliable Dynamics 365 partner, we recommend that you take the valuable feedback from your users as a basis and work with them to design further development options for maximizing the acceptance and benefits of your solution.

At the end of each sprint, the joint quality management and the final acceptance by our customer takes place. Once a sprint has been delivered, the next one is planned. If one of our customers is in a particular hurry to develop, the next sprint is even planned during the QA phase. In this way, your digitalisation is progressing in giant steps. That's a promise!

In any case, we strictly follow our customer`s focus and we implement your ideas. This is our promise of quality for you.
